It’s that time of year again where in Jamaica Fashion and Design takes centerstage for the Collection MoDa weekend of events! It is always such a pleasure attending and photographing the moments from the runway and the industry moving tradeshow that follows. It’s great big ideas like these that really gets creatives like myself going. Not to mention the wealth of gratitude and proudness I feel for my fellow artists and entrepreneurs that retails and displays each year. It has been my honor to work alongside such a strong group of women that fuels the engine that is Collection MoDa. Having had the opportunity to shoot their team portraits over the past 4 years I’m excited to see the 2017 production take full effect. Imagine a marketplace filled with over 80 Caribbean movers and shakers in fashion, food, art, lifestyle and more – that is MoDa Market. This year its takes place on Novemeber 11 and 12 at The Spanish Court Hotel Worthington. If you care for creativity and things made in Jamaica and the Caribbean then see you this weekend!
HELLO 30! Here’s to womanhood! This edit was a bit more challenging but I finally got it to a point where I felt comfortable. Thanks to the team for making my vision come to life! A HUGE thank you to @andrerattiganphotos for guiding me with the edit.
Celebrating the last day of my twenties and I cannot believe how much I have learnt and accomplished. I’m saying farewell to this chapter of my life.
Regina and Rasheed had the most beautiful, intimate wedding two weeks ago in Cooper’s Hill. The McCallum family has been a part of my life for over 8 years and they could not be any luckier to have welcomed Regina to their family.
From the moment Diba got engaged, Christmas Day 2014, I knew I had to plan something special for her for sure. Even though I am her wedding photographer, I had been made an honorary bridesmaid! Her wedding is finally here (tomorrow!) and I am so excited for her!
This gorgeous copy of the Brides Magazine arrived in the mail yesterday! At first I thought it was just a catalogue. Once I saw the cover and read the note, I quickly flipped through to find the feature and there it was – published on pages 304-305.
Blow by Blow opened in April this year. Simply put, have your hair washed and styled, be in and out. I love the chic design of the salon! And it’s always a fun time with the Chin sisters!

B3 Parenting Expo is an event that provides the best resources for the parenting journey from Diapers to Diplomas! It was, as usual, a well-executed event.
I was specifically asked by paperie and stationery company, Topp In Designz and confectionery store, Candy Craze to photograph their booth spaces. Have a look at some of the sweet creations they prepared for the day.
I love when I get the opportunity to work with musicians. It’s nice to connect with an artist of a different genre and talk about their passions and career journey. I met Jason when he was lead guitarist for recording artiste Protoje and about four years ago I took piano lessons with him, as I was determined to perform Adele’s “Make you feel my love” for my 25th birthday party. We did classes for a year and it was nice to pick up another hobby for a bit and express myself through a different medium.
I had the privilege of being apart of the launch, of noted photographer Ray Chen’s most recent book, “Jamaica – My 50 years in Photographs”.
The book is filled with beautiful images of Jamaican culture and shows the growth of the country, all documented by Mr. Chen. This is a final passion project for him, as he moved from Canada and relinquished his career as a successful commercial photographer, publishing over 10 books about Jamaica throughout the years.
I met Mr Chen about 4 years ago and he has become a mentor and close friend. He often refers to me as a daughter and star on the rise :o)
