Melissa & Dayne – A South Coast Romance

Location is key to capturing a beautiful engagement session. Gardens, the beach and the exact spot that the proposal took place are some common places for engagement shoots. I was so excited about this shoot at Floyd’s Pelican Bar, St. Elizabeth because the atmosphere is amazing. If you’re never heard of Pelican Bar, it’s a bar in the middle of the sea!

You have to take a canoe to get there. I love the rustic feel with it’s thatch roof and bamboo walls. The stories you see through the engraved names in the wood as well as the signed flags and t-shirts are a memorable touch. Special thanks to James, a friend of Melissa and Dayne who was able to arrange a sailboat with Luna Sea for this shoot! How romantic!
