Smile Jamaica: The Clarke’s – 42 years of marriage and counting

Smile Jamaica decided to end the month of February with a segment called “Love & Marriage After 42 Years”.  The couple, parents to co-host Simone Clarke-Cooper of the morning time show, got married at the age of 20 in the year 1972.  It was a real pleasure and honour to be a part of Smile Jamaica’s gift to them for celebrating so many years of marriage.

My favourite marital advice from Mr. Clarke is that marriage is like a plant.  If you don’t care for or water it, it will not survive.  Mrs. Clarke responds confidently to that statement, that she is well watered.  What I love the most about this couple, is how comfortable they are as individuals and as a team.
